Just Do It
No, this is not a promo for Nike. “Just Do It” is what I tell myself every time I think about the pounds I need to shed. You see, at the beginning of the year, I promised myself that I was going to start living my best life. Living my best life included getting in the best physical shape of my life. Four years ago about this time, I weighed 129 pounds. I remember it vividly because it was the first year I moved back to Chicago. I was looking good! LOL! Well anyway, fast forward to October 2009, I am weighing in at 160 pounds, still looking good though, but unsure how I packed on the pounds. Well, I think I know how I packed on the pounds! Some days I ate more and exercised less, and some days I ate hardly anything (a sure way to slow down your metabolism).
I’m 5’4, so according to all the BMI charts via the net, I am 15 pounds overweight. So what’s the problem? The problem is not having the motivation that I need to shed those 15 pounds. I am lacking motivation, determinination, commitment, and all those things you need first to in order to shed the pounds and hopefully keep them off. What a girl to do?
Let me tell you what this girl is going to do. This girl is going to make up her mind and decide whether or not she is going to conquer her weight loss goal. This girl is going to decide whether or not she is willing to give getting in the best physical shape of her life 100%. This girl is going to decide if she wants to wear those smaller size clothes in her closet that still has price tags on them.
To be continued…..

Im really not motivated when it comes to working out I start but don’t finish, thats one of my weakness, I’m 5’4 and 160lbs and most guys call that thick.
It’s not just about being “thick” and looking good for a man, but about being healthy, AND feeling good about what you see in the mirror.
I’m in the same boat. 3 years ago I was 130lbs, 5’4” with a flat belly. Now I’m 150lb. I really want to lose the extra 20lbs. I’m trying, b ts really hard. I wish you the best of luck!!!
